I am a Brazilian Portugese native speaker and passionate about Linguistics and reading, reason why this year I have decided studying and becoming a translator. My translation experience lies on literature, mostly novels and short stories, but I am interest in diversifying and expand content, kinds of texts and formats.
I received a bachelor's in foreign languages from Federal University of Paraná, focusing on English. After finishing my degree, I have worked for 5 years as administrative assistant and developed very important skills such as:
- verbal and writing communication
- client assistance and end-to-end communication
- problem solving
- documents and files organization
- time managing
- familiarity with web browser and tools
While I am grateful for the opportunities afforded to me in my prior position, I am ready to embark on a new career path that offers new challenges and truly need my passion for culture and writing. Since the year of 2023 I have been dedicated to specialized studies on translation. The last 6 months I have been working as a localizar, translator and MTPE at Appen and improved my skills such as:
- attention to details
- research objectiveness
- translation tools
- grammar and spelling accuracy
I am familiar with translation tools as SmartCat, MateCat, MemoQ, etc., and my aims are: ensure that the tranlated text conveys the same message as the original text; pay particular attetion to grammar; perform at a high-level; attend the client needs with quality and within the shortest time.
