My name is Andrew and I am the author of three ebooks, all of which have been in the top reaches of the Amazon charts (with 4-5 star reviews). I studied English Literature at University and have a passion of the English language. I am the writer of www.whataboutsaopaulo.com, a blog that has had more than 300,000 hits and has been featured in the Guardian, Gawker, The Huffington Post and the Telegraph.
I have also been studying Portuguese for a number of years now (I have been living in Brazil for over six years) and am very familiar with the language. I also teach English to Brazilians, so come into contact with students directly translating Portuguese to English on a daily basis. In fact, when I realised Brazilians were making the same mistakes frequently, I wrote a book about it! It is called The Top 85 Mistakes Brazilians Make in English. I have also done some translation work in the past for a major travel company.
My books have been described as easy to read and funny, I think this is where my success as a translator lies.
