Hi! My name is Aline. I am a professional translator and writer with over five years of experience and a strong background in the field. I am fluent in English and Portuguese (Brazilian). That came as an unavoidable consequence of moving overseas from time to time. Literature has always been a passion, but my process of becoming a translator goes a bit further. Technique and accuracy are skills that I consider mandatory to transport a language to another without leaving the work's soul behind.

As I see it, translating is not supposed to be a mechanical and simples process, but instead a complex and delicate path that demands taking into consideration cultural aspects. Being loyal to the author's words seems to me as important as reaching the reader with fluency. And I love this complicated balance. Actually, the more I translate, the more I understand the great importance of lending words a cross-border chance so that the learning experience becomes universal.
