Hello, I am an Italian student living in Berlin and studying English at Humboldt University.
Considering my whole education, the study of translation has played a leading role in my life; being educated in Classics and Humanities at high school led me to analyse the Ancient Greek and Latin culture and literature, giving me not only a good method to approach a translation, but also an open-minded approach to peoples with different cultures.
I attended a two week English language course in July 2010 at the University of Nottingham where I improved my language skills. Furthermore, I joined many English activities organised by American teachers in Turin, which gave me the chance to practise my English on a daily basis. Last summer I participated in a Full Immersion English Class, part of a programme called Into the Wilderness.
Morevoer, I have recently completed my third one-week English Language and Conversation Class, with American students from the Ball State University, Indiana.
In 2014 I attended the BA degree in Languages and Cultures for Tourism, at the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures of the University of Turin, where I graduated in July 2017 (110 out of 110). My chosen languages were English and German; I have deepen my knowledge of the latter by attending courses at Goethe Institut (from A1 to B2.3) and in April 2016 I successfully passed the examination Goethe-Zertifikat B1 (93/100).
I attended a seminar about Business Communication in English and in March 2016 I completed a 150 working hour internship in an agency organising cultural events in Turin. Moreover, from September 2016 to January 2017, I have been an Erasmus student at the University of Bristol, UK, where I reached an advanced English language level and experienced university life in a foreign country.
