Harper is a former intelligence officer in the navy, and now works for the CIA. She is sent on an undercover mission to retrieve an apparatus that lists all the secret operatives working in the American intelligence community.

Logan had a bad experience working with the FBI that he never truly recovered from. Still he continues to do his duty working to protect the country he loves. He too is sent to apprehend the information that could land a devastating blow to his colleagues.

She downed the rest of her champagne and deposited it on a nearby table. A waiter would come by and retrieve it at some point. She didn’t really care when. Logan sipped his but he didn’t seem too interested in actually drinking it. “Not to your liking?” Harper gestured toward the glass.

“I’ve never liked champagne much,” he replied.

“Then why drink it?” She tilted her head and studied him. “Find something else to your liking.” Her sister must have something else to drink other than champagne. She didn’t think that Carly would make everyone drink it. Though it was a delicious variety, Harper could see why a man would want something less fruity to drink. “If you want I can help you with that.”

“That’s all right.” He set the glass down. “Perhaps it would be better if I didn’t drink anything at all.”
