Body relaxation. As mentioned in the previous chapter, relaxing your body is one of the best ways to prepare for deep meditation. Beginners normally find it hard to concentrate during meditation. • Sit completely still. When you make even slight movements in your body, you send various energies to your different body muscles. To stop yourself from shuffling or fidgeting, imagine that your body is a heavy rock which is dense and unmoving. Consciously stop your body from moving during the 1st 5 minutes of your session. After that, you will notice that your body will start to become calmer on its own will. As you sit still over a longer period of time, you will notice that the restlessness in both your mind and body starts to subside.
