Ingredients:
Oats, crushed -1/2 cup
Olive Oil – 1 tablespoon
Beet, medium & grated -1/2
Chili Powder-1/4 teaspoon
Chickpeas, washed, drained & cooked-1/2 cup
Cajun Seasoning -1/2 teaspoon
Potato, medium & boiled-1/2
Salt-1/2 teaspoon
Garlic, minced-2 teaspoons
Tomato Paste -1 tablespoon
Cumin Powder-1/2 teaspoon
Method of Preparation:
Combine potato, beet and chickpeas in a large mixing bowl until well mixed.
Add spices, salt, tomato paste and olive oil and mix again until well incorporated.
Allow it to sit for 5 minutes and stir in about half the quantity of oats. Combine well. You can add more oats if needed to make it a dough.
Once it becomes a doughy consistency, make balls out of it and smash them into patties.
Immerse the patties into the remaining oats and coat both sides.
Place the patties on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake them at 350˚F for 15 to 20 minutes or until the patties becomes slightly crisp and browned.
