Teach them by example. Rather than punishing your child for doing the wrong thing, show them how to do the right thing. And if you want your child to learn, you will need to teach him or her how to do the right thing on their own, but also how to learn whether something is wrong or right
Some of the questions that will be answered in this book include:
• How does brain development relate to toddler discipline?
• What kinds of limits does a toddler need or not need?
• How can you develop healthy communication patterns with your little one?
• What are the best ways to help toddlers learn to deal with conflicts?
• What discipline strategies are most effective in helping toddlers go through this crucial stage of development?
• How can you as a Supermom stay calm when facing toddler frustration?
I can tell you this book will not solve all your issues, for there will still be days you want to give up and leave your small child to defend for themselves. The purpose of this book is to help you teach your toddler safe, growth-promoting behaviors and save you from some of the stress and headaches that come with poor discipline.
Genre: FAMILY & RELATIONSHIPS / Life Stages / Infants & ToddlersThere is a reason why it has become culturally accepted to view our tiny toddlers as almost an entirely different class of people, and sometimes even as an entirely different species! This is tongue in cheek, of course, but there are many reasons for why it can be so difficult for parents and caregivers to understand their tiny toddler’s behavior, especially at the stage commonly referred to as the Terrible Twos! Babies come into this world entirely dependent on their parents and caregivers, and we are physically able to control most aspects of their lives in those very early days. As our babies become more mobile, this becomes more and more difficult to do, and once the toddler years hit, this newfound mobility is tied to a cognitive leap that inspires our little one’s to assert this newfound independence in ways that can be very trying for the adults around them!
