Life is good in the Kingdom of Tiberia. King Alarico and his companions reign benevolently, looking after the well-being of the people. Sure, there are wars, poverty and health problems, but King Alarico does his best for the happiness of his people.
And this could have gone on for years, but a vicious and well-prepared attack by the continent's Northern Elves forces Alarico to surrender in order to spare his people. However, his familiar, Lobera, has the gift of clairvoyance, and alerts his master a few hours before the attack. This gives Alarico time to organize the fleeing of his companion Juana, his son Amadis and his nephew Armando.
It will be up to them to take back the kingdom from the invaders, should Armando ever decide to make his presentation and reveal his nature as Prima Alpha.
The book is already available in French and English, and has so far sold 500 copies in each language, with a return of around 4.5/5 on Amazon.
With the sky still dark, Juan had woken up hungry. The young Rodrigo was in his arms, his face pressed against his neck, and one leg wedged between his own. It had been a bit tricky to free himself without awakening the young man, but Juan had managed.
On the table, there was still something to eat on one of the two plates, and he hadn't bothered. The stew they'd been served that evening wasn't very good, so hot or cold, it made no difference. The wine, on the other hand, wasn't bad, and he'd washed down the taste of the stew with a good glass of it.
Satiated, he went over to the window, and it was then that he realized that the heat had died down.
A few hours.
It had only lasted a few hours. Not even a full day. True, he'd never had heat outside his presentation, so he had little experience of it, but it usually lasted at least three days. Not just a few hours. Whatever he'd endured, it wasn't heat, at least not a regular one.
"Fierce," he'd called softly.
The vixen had appeared at his side, yawning widely.
"Juan? Why aren't you sleeping?"
"Hungry. I need you."
The fox had tilted her head to one side.
"To eat? You want me to go hunting for something at this time of night?" She'd asked him, incredulous.
Juan had chuckled, amused.
"No! Of course not. Didn't you say you felt Baliza yesterday? Do you still feel her?"
The vixen had remained silent for a moment.
"Yes. Still. You want me to show you, don't you?"
"Yes."
The familiar had disappeared, and the next moment Juan had felt its power flowing through him. His hair had grown longer, his eyes had changed and his senses had sharpened.
