When we find ourselves and sons of God it reveals privileges we would never find any other way. Whether we are men or women, we are all to think like sons of God. 1 John 3:1, 2 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. What a high relationship is that of a son, and what privileges it brings! What care and tenderness the son expects from his Father, and what love the Father feels towards the son.
There is no way we can ever discover all the riches of the Lord’s richness. For over a week I've been thinking about this verse: "Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ" (Ephesians 3:8 KJV).
The unsearchable, unending, unlimited, and mysterious riches of Christ. This is truly the beauty of mystery. I love the word "mystery"-it means secret. It implies that we get the honor to search the heart of God for revelation. This verse and these thoughts are truly making me hunger for more.
Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
Of course, this mystery of the endless treasures of who and what we are refer to the mystery of the Gospel. Imagine the full wealth and knowledge of the cross. Grace will never end. It makes me hunger and long to know more. Who can fully comprehend that He is mindful of us? We are born again (renewed) and blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Think about the glory of the resurrection-walking with God and miracles. These are some of the great mysteries of the gospel, and there are many more.
You could study for all of eternity on the beauty, mystery, power, mercy, and majesty of the cross and it would not be enough! It is unsearchable! At the same time, we have the Mind of Christ. What is even more amazing is that God wants to share His mysteries, even secrets of the universe, with us. This is the purpose of intimacy and fellowship with His Spirit. We have the Spirit of wisdom and revelation dwelling inside of us to reveal the truths of the Gospel! Wow!!
Amos 3:7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
