Genre: TRUE CRIME / Murder / Serial KillersThis has been my most successful True Crime book ever. I think it is selling so well because it is a compilation of all the famous serial killers and people like to learn about them. It has sold better this month than when it first came out, so the sales seem to be increasing over time.
Throughout history, wicked men have lived, some successful, others not. No matter how hard a society might try, completely eradicating crime and hurt is not possible. For many, the thought of how a person can contemplate such evil and follow through with it is hard to comprehend. Even harder to comprehend is the fact that these murderers and rapists were once ordinary children. Somewhere in their life, whether the result of abuse or an injustice, the love for inflicting pain on humanity was created and thus birthed their entrance into a life of crime. One man who was particularly evil was Ted Bundy. During the 1970s, society was terrorized by the antics of Ted Bundy. Murderer, rapist, kidnapper, burglar, and necrophile were among the many words media sources used to describe Ted as they sought to warn the women of America to stay away from this man of pure evil. However, evil would not prevail, and Ted would eventually be caught and executed by the electric chair. Shortly before his death, Ted made a religious profession, the courtesy of Dr. James Dobson reaching out to the man no one in the world wanted to lend care towards. Upon his death, it was found that Ted had murdered over 30 women in crimes stretching across seven states. Ted Bundy's life served no master other than the selfishness within himself. While finding good within the life of Ted Bundy is a difficult task, his life serves as an example that a life of evil will eventually be found out. No amount of running or hiding can mask one from the eventual consequences of inflicting harm on humanity. Through the life of Ted Bundy, humanity can be reminded that a life is best lived in service and love to humanity.
