The sleeper’s justice: jonas vale

Justice doesn’t sleep. But Jonas Vale does.
And in his dreams, the guilty pay.
After quitting alcohol to reclaim his life, Jonas Vale begins to experience something strange. At first, it's just vivid dreams. But then the people he confronts in sleep—those who’ve harmed others—start waking up injured. Or not waking up at all.
Each night, he crosses the threshold into the minds of the wicked. A neighbor. A predator. A corrupt enforcer. As the body count rises, so do the whispers: There’s something out there. And it knows what you’ve done.
But when a personal tragedy rips through his world, Jonas’s mission becomes personal—and the line between justice and vengeance blurs.
Now, hunted by criminals and unknowingly observed by law enforcement, Jonas continues his silent war from the shadows.
Until one dream leads him to the very heart of the city's corruption.
Some call him a guardian. Others call him a monster.
But to those who’ve hurt the innocent...
He’s already coming.

The Sleeper’s Justice is a gripping, hauntingly original tale that blurs the line between reality and dreams, justice and vengeance. At the heart of the story is Jonas Vale, a man shattered by personal loss—his nephew, a victim of the drug trade. What begins as grief transforms into a chilling crusade, as Jonas discovers an otherworldly ability to enter the dreams of criminals—and end their lives from within.

What sets this narrative apart is its chilling brilliance: he summons his victims into dreams where they wake up maimed or they don't at all and there are no fingerprints, no struggle, no evidence—just silent deaths and whispered legends of a justice that comes in sleep. As Jonas delves deeper, he unearths a web of corruption that extends far beyond street thugs and cartels, reaching into police forces, judges, and high-ranking officials. The author boldly exposes how deeply criminal networks are often enmeshed with those sworn to uphold the law.

This is justice served in its most poetic and harrowing form—an eye for an eye, carried out in shadows and silence. The Sleeper’s Justice is not just a supernatural thriller; it’s a dark reflection on how broken systems often demand justice from beyond. An unforgettable read.

Prologue

“You don’t wake up when you stop drinking. You just start dreaming again.”

For a time, Jonas Vale believed that leaving the bottle behind would usher in a newfound peace. He envisioned a life free of blackouts, void of the regret that greeted him each morning like a ghost, and devoid of the strange stares from strangers who recognized his face yet belonged to a world he didn’t know.

But sobriety didn't bring the expected silence. Instead, it birthed dreams.

Not mere recollections or fleeting cravings, but vivid dreams that pulsed with life. Dreams that moved through the ether, leaving fingerprints on the fabric of reality.

It all began with shadows—fragments of suppressed rage and murmurs of unfulfilled justice. Initially, he couldn't recall all the specifics; he only sensed an intoxicating feeling of control, of righting a wrong that went unaddressed by the waking world.

The morning after his first truly real dream, he stirred awake feeling lighter than usual, almost buoyant. That buoyancy came crashing down as he caught sight of his neighbor limping down the sidewalk, clutching his ribs as if he were a wounded animal. His furtive glances darted around, as if he sensed someone had stalked him through a storm of whispers and shadows.

Jonas stood transfixed at the window, coffee cooling unattended in his hand. In that moment, something deeper than guilt surged within him—something powerful, something intoxicating.

He felt certain.

Little did he know, the nights had begun to mold the days ahead. Whether he desired it or not, he had transformed into the kind of man who inspired fear in the hearts of others while they slept, a specter of justice woven into the fabric of their dreams.
