At twenty years of age, Isaiah’s got a bright future ahead of him. He’s popular, he’s handsome, and all the ladies sigh when he walks by. Maybe it’s his smirk, or perhaps it’s the beautiful color of his eyes, but one thing is for sure-he is the coolest guy on campus.
Heidi is a bit hot-headed, she can admit. She doesn’t have much patience when it comes to Isaiah’s ridiculous behavior. Her fuse is short and it doesn’t help when he’s always making snide remarks about her preference to read instead of going to parties. She’s nineteen and trying to find her way in the world, except there’s one minor detail that sets her apart from the average girl.
Our world is not theirs. They are royalty. Isaiah is the prince of Ice and Heidi is the princess of Fire. In an effort to keep them safe when their kingdoms are attacked by unknown forces, their parents sent them to earth.
For the time being, Heidi is stuck in North America with Isaiah, attending a small community college and attempting to blend in. It’s not as easy as humans make it seem. Worried about her father and their kingdom, Heidi has a difficult time adjusting to life on a foreign planet, and being with Isaiah doesn’t make it any easier.
With new enemies entering their lives and old wounds being reopened, will Heidi and Isaiah be able to set aside their differences long enough to save their world? Will they be able to save ours?

It was in that very moment that the cup shattered, sending coffee all over the table. Heidi’s eyes widened slightly before she immediately reached for a napkin in an attempt to clean up her mess. He did this to her on purpose!
Isaiah’s eyes moved from the mug to Heidi’s face and then he blinked. “You scare me,” he replied. “This is what happens with you warmers. Girls in particular. You get upset and then your emotions go haywire and you cause things to blow up. You need to get a handle on yourself, Heidikin. Especially here.” He glanced around at a few students who were staring their way. They were undoubtedly wondering what the hell had just happened.
Heidi’s cheeks were heating up with a blush from her embarrassment. She wasn’t willing to admit that sometimes her emotions got the better of her. But if he didn’t instigate these silly little arguments-she’d be just fine! Stupid boy. She quickly reached down for some napkins, wanting to clean up her mess, but it was much to her horror that as her fingertips touched the paper thin material, it burst into flames.Isaiah was quick to react. He reached his hand out to cover hers above the napkin and she could feel the cool sensation that ran over her knuckles. All that emitted from between their fingertips was steam. Heidi lifted her eyes to meet his and she had to look away quickly. It was humiliating to lose control like that. She didn’t mean to. Sometimes her body just did things on its own whether she wanted that to happen or not. But maybe her body was aware of how much she couldn’t stand Isaiah.
