When Joel spots Adam across a crowded room, he can't keep his eyes off him. How is he to know that Adam has plans for him this evening too and that he is also the son of Joel's boss, a billionaire?
Joel could see him across the crowded room, like a white diamond amongst a dark cave of black coal. There, the gorgeous blond stood decked out in a black tux and black bow tie, sipping on his champagne. He made Brad Pitt look like a troll. Even in his custom-fit tux, Joel could see he was very well built. His strong thighs filled those black slacks. He had charisma, a charm about him, an easygoing smile that seemed to be just for him, even though they were in a room full of wealthy snobs, decked out in their finest. Joel just couldn’t keep his eyes off of him no matter how much he tried to hide it.
It wasn’t until Joel’s fiancee Layla tugged at his arm that he broke from his spell. “Did you hear what I said?” she asked with a smile that masked her annoyance.
“Sorry, babe, what was that?” he asked her, sipping his champagne nervously.
“I said, where’s your boss? I want to meet him,” she said with gritted teeth. She was beautiful and classy, but her fiery red hair and Irish temper sometimes got on his nerves.
“He’s right over there.” He nodded in the direction of the older bald man who was standing next to the spiraling staircase of his mansion, holding court.
His boss, Mr. Deeds, bellowed a laugh that echoed above all the crowd noise. It was his trademark. He laughed as loud as he yelled in the office where Joel worked for him, and that was not a pretty sight to see. Had he not been the billionaire tycoon he was, Joel never would have put up with the things his boss screamed at him on a daily basis. But he guessed his boss had earned every right to be demanding as he was.
