William Henry Harper has everything—the money, the career, the looks. But one woman haunts his thoughts—an ex-girlfriend who died because of his betrayal four years ago. Now, her younger sister is coming back to town, and she insists they meet up, even if it dredges up their long, sordid past...
A betrayal, a murder, an unexpected proposition... The Billionaire's Alibi serials will shock you, tantalize you, and have you begging for more.
The Billionaire's Alibi: The Proposition is the first book in this series. It is a serial novella is about 18,000 words, or about 100 printed pages. This romantic suspense is recommended for mature audiences ages 18+.
This book has been a huge seller through iTunes in a number of English and Spanish speaking countries as well as all over Europe. It is currently listed for free through those retailers, though I would be happy to list the translations at a paid price.
The series for this book has 3 books in total that all sell at $3.99 in digital, attracting a high quality audience that is not necessarily looking for a bargain, but rather for a good read. The feedback has been almost entirely positive, as you can see from a lot of the reviews on various retailers with the book.
The series will hit 9 books in total, with the last one scheduled for an Oct. 2014 release. So far, each book in the series has gained steam with every new release. The series is just getting started but is already selling hundreds of books internationally per month, and it will only go up from there.
Ideally, I'm looking for someone who wants to translate the series, as I'd like to work with the same translator over and over again. I'm especially looking for German and Spanish translators as those are two markets the English ebooks are already selling in; Canada is also a popular country so a French translator would be great. However, I'm open to translations in all languages available.
Finally, I'm looking for someone who is entrepreneurial and can really market the books in the appropriate countries. I'll provide ample marketing content from blog posts to bonus scenes and more that can be translated for the audience, and I'm also happy to set up and host a translated version of my website where a translator could post the content. I am happy to redo the covers as well for specific translations to appeal to that audience. I'm looking for a partner to work with and I hope to find one in every language offered!
“William Henry Harper!” a voice called out from behind him. “Why am I not surprised to see you here?”
He dropped a wad of cash on the bar. Grabbing the rum and cokes he paid for, he spun around slowly. He knew that voice, but he didn’t particularly want to speak to its owner at that moment.
“No story here,” he told Morgan, one of the writers at Zoey Fromme. “Just a guy buying two drinks.” He glanced down. “So you can put your little iPhone away.”
“Who are you here with?” she asked, not moving an inch.
“Come on—it’s a Friday night. Don’t you have something better to do than spy on people having more fun than you?”
“It is called Spy Bar.” She nodded at the sign stretched across the wall behind him.
“I’m sorry.” He grinned at her, determined not to show how much she irritated him. “I meant, don’t you have anything better to do than stalk people who don’t want to talk to you?”
Morgan Cummings had been hunting his story for several months now, ever since his father Henry Harper had announced that Will would be taking on more responsibility at Harper Global to prepare for his ascension to CEO. Thanks to her, his quiet life of clubbing with people in his inner circle had become public knowledge—and the public didn’t seem to like what they saw.
“It’s a job, so don’t take it personally,” she said indignantly. “And unlike you, I actually like what I do, despite its lack of a silver platter.”
