Chapter 3: An Appointment
The Count eagerly waits for his 12 o’clock appointment with the Metropol’s barber, Yaroslov.
Chapter 4: An Acquaintanceship
As he dines alone in the Piazza, the Count is approached by nine-year-old Nina Kulikova, daughter of a widowed Ukrainian bureaucrat.
