Speed reading can be described as any of several methods used to improve your ability to read faster. Both psychologists and educational experts working on visual acuity concluded that, with a certain amount of training, an average individual could easily identify minute images displayed quickly on a screen for just one five-hundredth of a second. You too can take advantage of this skill which can be learned easily with the tips in this book
The last chapter looks at subliminal psychology. This is a very interesting topic that you likely have not heard about. You will explore a number of examples of how you already see it in action in the world today. From here, you will learn how to increase your skills and start to use this type of psychology to your advantage
You can read extensive books about speed-reading and overcomplicate things listening to all the fluff these authors tell you in order to make their books longer; you can waste all your money on pricey video courses or programs, get a mentor, or do all of those things combined. Or - and this will be worth it.

Actual prior experience is undoubtedly the best because the reader has first-hand knowledge. It is however not possible to possess first-hand knowledge about every matter in this world. That’s when prior reading or prior viewing helps the readers. While reading a text will provide the basic information, watching pictures or videos usually help a reader to visualize and connect much faster to the content.
Cognitive scientists term our prior learning as our ‘Schema’. According to the schema theory, as people learn about the world, they develop a large network of knowledge structures, or schemas, with each schema connected to many others Each person’s schema is different because each has had a different life; no two person’s experiences are the same, so each brings a different schema to the new reading. When schema theory was applied to reading comprehension, cognitive scientists found that good readers constantly connect their background knowledge to the new knowledge they encounter in a text. In fact, they appear to activate a schema as soon they begin to read. The initial schema then activates others, thus directly affecting how readers understand and react to a text.
So, if a person does not have much prior knowledge at a general level, he will have more difficulty understanding what he has read. To increase one’s ability to connect, one has to increase the size of his schema or the knowledge base by learning about new topics and subjects.
