As with any other trusty appliance, a slow cooker needs special care and maintenance.

Abrupt temperature changes should be avoided. When the glass lid or the stoneware is hot, do not suddenly put them in cold water or keep them on any wet platform.
The container shouldn’t be used for storing the food in refrigerator. If for some reason you have done that, then please remember not to re-heat it immediately after taking it out from refrigerator. Abrupt temperature changes may cause your stoneware to crack.
