She had just placed the last box near the front door when the doorbell chimed. “I saw you and Paige at the funeral. I’m sorry I was unable to speak with you before you left,” she told him with a slight smile. The church had been filled with her and Pilar’s family and friends, making it virtually impossible for her to personally greet all who attended.
“Not a problem. I know you’ve had your hands full with Pilar’s sudden death. How have you been?”
“Anderson, I am so overwhelmed right now. With mama gone...Come, let’s sit down.” Sienna led him into the lavishly decorated sitting room.
