To ensure your newly developed mindset remains positive, de-clutter your mind. De-cluttering your mind here refers to getting rid of all the ideas and beliefs that make you irresolute and compel you to quit your mission.
Take your journal and jot down all self-limiting beliefs that make you feel as if you will not emerge victorious in this mission. For instance, if you hear a voice inside tell you, “You are not persistent in your actions; therefore, you can never become self-disciplined,” note it down. Similarly, write down any negative suggestion that pops up in your mind.
When you write these ideas and suggestions down, you confront and accept your fears. You make peace with the fact that some limitations and issues may prevent you from moving forward, but you are going to stay steadfast and fight these problems.
Go through the list you have prepared and then read out each negative comment one by one. As you speak a negative comment, make a mental image of it and then erase it with a big imaginary eraser. As the thought erases from your mind, add a positive suggestion as its replacement.
For instance, if you have erased, “You give in to your desires very quickly,” you could swap it with “I have full control over my desires.” Following this pattern, add positive replacements for all negative comments in your mind.
