Justin spun on his heal and all but ran into the back room where Alona was knee deep in flour and orders. “Alona! You have to come talk to this magnificent specimen of a man in the front of the store.”
Alona looked up, “Why?”
“He’s here for the job,” Justin replied as if that was reason enough.
Alona returned her attention to the work at hand, “Just have him fill out an application and I will call him later.”
“No! You need to handle this now before this scrumptious piece of man walks out the door,” Justin said.
“I’m a little busy at the moment,” Alona said frustrated.
“Alona, if you don’t get out there right this second I will hire him without your permission,” he threatened.
Julia looked up and smirked, “Just go talk to him Alona because I have a feeling if you don’t Justin will never let you hear the end of it.”
“Damn straight. Now clean yourself up girl. You look like you got into a fight with a bag of flour. You don’t want to scare him off with this fugly look of yours before he even gets started.”
Alona made a sweeping motion around her face and rolled her head with attitude, “You can’t make this ugly.”
