Ibn Umar narrated that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "The example of the person who knows the Quran by heart is like the owner of tied camels. Abu Musa narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Keep on reciting the Quran, for by Him in Whose Hand my life is, the Quran runs away (is forgotten) faster than camels that are released from their tying ropes."
