There is far more than meets the eye where positive thinking is concerned. In fact, science is even proving in today’s day and age, that positive thinking can have a direct impact on our overall state of well-being, be it physical or emotional. You will be able to overcome that dreadful thing called ‘stress’ in your life and recover from setbacks with the greatest degree of ease.
The only problem with this thought process however is that when you are living a life where you think in terms of ‘win or lose’ what you are actually doing is turning your usually colorful life and turning it into a black and white Audrey Hepburn movie. You miss out on all the nuances of living life and get sucked into a repetitive thought pattern where all you can think of is what you missed out on. In short, you forget to see the positives in life because you are so fixated on the negatives.
If you are ready to take action and change your life for the better, this book will definitely guide you in the right direction!

One of the most valuable things that you can learn in life is that things happen that don’t always fit in with your plans. How you take disappointment really does matter to the outcome. If you fail a relationship, then if you perpetually blame yourself and learn nothing from it, you are likely to fail another relationship. I am aware that there are people who go from one negative experience to another and then blame life for it, rather than facing up to the fact that it’s their approach to disappointment that needs working on.
My sister is a great example of this. She never learned to cook and expected to make mistakes every time she produced a meal. It became a family joke, until one day, I told her where she was going wrong. The idea is to keep records of measurements and when something doesn’t work, change the measurements, so that the disappointment turns into a lesson. If you take all disappointment as a lesson in life, it’s not a negative experience. It’s merely telling you that your way didn’t work and that you should try a different way next time.
The problem is that the way the human mind works is that your subconscious records all your failures. If you see everything as a failure, then that’s the way you will continue to respond to disappointments.
