It’s Stormer the Rhino’s birthday and he has been sent a gift of eggs by his friend Chucky on the farm.
The eggs seem to be a gift that Stormer will never be able to enjoy as he and his friends find it difficult to crack and eat them. As they try to crack the eggs they even manage to knock out Roby the monkey in the process!
They eventually find a most unconventional way to open the eggs but succeed and can share the eggs that are left.
This story teaches children about a unique aspect of Komodo Dragon’s and also teaches children about teamwork.

It was Stormer the Rhino’s birthday.
Tappy Tapir, Colors Chameleon, Odo the Komodo Dragon and Robby the monkey all gathered around Rhino and sang happy birthday to him.
Then Rhino blew out the candles on his cake and made a wish.
Just then the postman arrived.
“I have a parcel for Stormer,” said the postman.
“That’s me!” rumbled Stormer. He thanked the postman and looked at the package.
“It’s from my friend Clucky the hen on the farm.
Stormer tried to open the package but his feet were too big. Robby helped him to open it.
Inside was a birthday card. Stormer read the card.
“Happy Birthday Stormer! I hope you enjoy my gift of two dozen eggs. I cooked them specially for your birthday! Love Clucky.”
Stormer looked inside the box and saw the eggs. He was going to share them with his friends.
But he had a problem. He could not pick up the eggs.
Robby picked one up and held it out to Stormer. “Put it down on the ground, please,” said Stormer.
Robby placed the egg on the ground. Stormer lifted his foot and tried standing on the egg.
They all heard “CRACK! SPLAT!”
Stormer lifted his foot. The egg was crushed into the ground with its shell.
“Yuck!” the friends all cried.
“I’m sorry. I can’t open the eggs,” said Stormer.
“Let me try!” cried Tappy.
“Ok,” replied Stormer.
