The essence of Neuro-Linguistic Programming is the answer to one question. Is it possible to be an idiot and an expert at the same time? The belief is that NLP can identify what it take to be both and then integrate one into the other. This is a 3 step process:
1) Observe and monitor the behavioral patterns of what experts in their fields do. What they say, how they say it, and especially what is the specific “ingredient” that makes them experts in comparison to other people that are not so experts.
2) After these patterns and the specific “ingredient” have been identified and isolated, through NLP, it is attempted to infuse them into the not so experts, trying to increase their self-confidence, their self-esteem and mainly their belief that it is possible to become experts. This infusion is done through systematic and repetitive incorporation to the various learning techniques.
3) Much in the same way as identifying and isolating the “expert ingredients”, there is observation and isolation of the “ingredients” of the not so expert. This is done in the effort to change and / or replace them with other patterns.
