You can use the moving images technique to manage factors, elements, and things that trigger stress. To implement it, envision the image of the person or thing that annoys you, and causes your stress. For instance, if the thought of facing your boss stresses your nerves because you know he or she is not fond of you, and is always insulting you, try imagining how your boss’ face looks like when he or she is stressing you. Concentrate on this vision until the image becomes clear.
Next, zoom out the image, make it small, and change its colors to black and white. Now imagine the image moving far away from you. Notice and observe your feelings when you do this. Do this a couple of times and you will find the stress associated with that factor slowly decreasing.
After that, think of something that makes you feel happy inside, such as the sight of your baby’s smiling face. Focus on it until it becomes vivid in your mind, and add more details to it. Then enlarge its size and add brightness to it. Imagine it coming really close to you until it starts feeling real. Then notice your feelings and understand how this practice makes you feel. By doing it repetitively, you will start feeling peaceful and good inside, and your positive emotions will fortify.
