She kept her face down and pulled her scarf low to her face to keep the people from looking at it and recognising it. They hadn't begun to question her. She better leave now. Why hadn't she left since?
CHAPTER FIVE
As Emelisa slipped away, her ears were still catching sentences.
'The woman we saw standing with the man, seemed to have deliberately pushed him upon the road. We didn't understand. And the Explorer was speeding towards them.'
Slowly, Emelisa stole into the inner room of the two bedroom apartment. There she was still listening and hearing the eyewitness testimony describing her.
'The woman was in a pink coloured maxi. The man's arm was around the woman's waist at first at the place they wanted to cross the road. We didn't know what happened between them and the woman pushed him upon the road in front of the speeding oncoming car.'
That was when the room heaved another sigh and voices began to mutter things again.
Emelisa rushed upon the bed on her knees. She took down a handbag that hung on the wall from a nail. There was no time to take things. She opened the cupboard of the cabinet bed. She remembered that Uyi had some money there. She took the bundle of naira money and stuffed it hurriedly into the bag. She didn't know how much was there. But she thought it would be enough to start this runaway trip. She had attempted to kill Uyi, she thought in a deep psychological confirmation to herself. She didn't want to say that it was a mistake.

Author review: I have Luciana 5 star because she did a wonderful job in the translation of my book. This is the first work she has done for me and likely her first fully translated work here. I'm convinced she has been translating elsewhere and is quite experienced. I recommend her. |

Author review: Raquel Guillamón's translation of my book is a good one. I especially like the diligence and communication flow between during the translation period. I won't hold back at all from recommendation. He demonstrated a lot of prefessionalism. |
