# 1 - I read to my four year old nephew, each night, via face time, and I am always looking for new books. My nephew loved the book especially the different colors and kinds of horses. It was both simple and exciting to read. I also enjoyed the adventure. And when we finished, he was ready to go to sleep so he could be with the horses. The first night,he wanted to ride the Paint Horse in the rodeo. He asked to be read the book on the next night. He wanted to ride along the beaches near where I live. He really did not want to settle for a dream and I promised him a horseback riding lesson during his next visit. We both enjoyed the book and look forward to the next in the series.
# 2 - The best critics are a 6 year old and a 4 year old! They both enjoyed the book and learned a lot about different kinds of horses. They are now very specific when they see a horse. Not just a horse, but a palomino, Clydesdale, etc. If they had one negative: it was too long for a bedtime story. (They are used to only one chapter a night.)
I re-read it to them when they were wide awake and more alert, and they loved it!
