Moochers in crime: a dirk & patsy story (the garbage collector series)

Patsy makes up stories of abuse in order to get away from her husband whom she is bored with and doesn’t have much, but soon decides she can make lots of money if she prostitutes herself—first to men, then to women.  Dirk and Patsy join criminal forces, with Dirk being Patsy’s pimp; later Patsy plans to groom her daughter for teenage prostitution.  Their high rich lifestyle has them running out of money in a short time, so they constantly come up with ways to mooch off other people.  When that isn’t enough, Dirk steals money from his elderly parents who have signs of dementia, and then plots to kill them—twice.  Could it be a tragic ending for Patsy and Dirk, or not…?

A FEW TEASERS:

She couldn’t help but to think of how she falsely accused Hank of hitting her.
She was about to serve up a cup of capital murder and she never thought it could feel so exciting.
Premeditated murder was seriously taking it up a notch.
She thought he was the greatest ever, but went to his house one day, to discover that he had just murdered his roommate!
Patsy seemed to be better with the men, but she was getting to like having sex with the women as well, although women....
The scent of the woman's perfume was tickling her nostrils as Patsy inhaled the smell of her deeply into her soul.
Patsy got many of her ideas from Tina of how to use men. Tina would always say that men were made to use and abuse.
Patsy told Dirk that she thought women were easier to steal from than men.

Patsy hadn’t met Dirk’s folks yet.  Just heard about them from Dirk.  Dirk, however, was also “living” with his folks in their summer house on their lakeshore property, where his folks lived.  He’d spend half the time there, and about half the time at Patsy’s.  Patsy would want to have some time alone with her daughter, so those were the times Dirk would take off and stay at the summer house.

“But how are we going to get it if they won’t die?  And what about your irritating sister?”  Patsy already hated Dirk’s sister, Sara, because of how Dirk talked about her.

He shot her an almost devilish look.  The color of his eyes had turned dark and his eyes were alive with silent insinuations.  She knew what that look meant and she knew what it was in answer to.  In order to get the money, they were going to need to speed up his parents’ death.  And fast.

“We are going to kill them.”

“Holy hell, are you serious?”  Patsy was used to petty theft and ID robberies during her time with Dirk, but premeditated murder was seriously taking it up a notch.

“I’m dead serious.  And if my sister tries to get in my way, I’ll kill the bitch too.  More for me since it’s just her and I.”

“Damn, Dirk.”

“She’s set to inherit a majority of the estate, with her out of the will, or out of the picture, I will get it all!”

“But the will is already written.”

“True, but I’m going to take care of that too.  I just need your help tomorrow.”

“What’s tomorrow?”

“They have doctor appointments and their checks go in the banks.”
