Minimalists live a lifestyle that is free of clutter and the trappings of the material world. One aspect of life is money. Being dependent on money, how much you make and spend, and how it does not bring happiness can cause undue stress. Often people get caught in a cycle where they make plenty of money, but then they spend everything they make. It seems natural to pay the bills, to add one more car or go on a vacation of a lifetime, until suddenly everything about that life is gone.
If your anything like me, I grew up thinking that the more stuff I had, the better I was. If I had the latest widget, my status rose. When I first moved out of home, I would save a bit out of every paycheck so I could buy the latest whatever.. This did not bring me happiness.

Think of the life you’d like to live and analyze its various aspects. How would you like to look when you reach that point? What type of house would you like to live in? What sort of job/profession do you see yourself involved in? What sort of people do you want to be around you at that point? Once you have clarity on these things, use them to de-clutter your life.
Write down those things in your journal and then compare each aspect of the life you want to manifest with your current state. For instance, if you aspire to live in a spacious, clean house cooking for your kids and your current house is a messed up clutter den, you need to clean and organize your house as a way to free up space. Similarly, you may desire to be a novelist and for that, you need to allocate more time to improving your writing skills. This requires you to focus on your dream but with a house full of clutter and the 2 jobs you’re juggling right now, you may find that impossible to achieve. If you quit one of the 2 jobs, the one you hate doing, and then sell a few of the pointless furniture you have at home, you could somehow make more time to write and slowly use it to earn a living.
