In the modern world, when someone makes the transition to a minimalist lifestyle, there are going to be activities that won’t be given up. For example, it might be unreasonable to expect someone to give up their mobile phone because it is essential to their work. This is fine. But if you can’t get rid of something then try to limit how much you need to use it. Delete apps you don’t need or use from your phone, get rid of games which take up all your time. Limit necessary activities to reasonable limits. That way, they interfere with your life the least they can.
Other examples could be only check your emails twice a day, even if you know you’ve got an email. If you find yourself always replying to people you will find that you won’t have time for anything else – it is much more efficient to limit the activity.
