There are several forms of meditation and depending upon the type of person the meditation technique varies. For example if you are high energetic person and very repressive then sitting meditation is not for you. Just  closing the eyes while sitting in the corner wont help . This is merely another form of suppression or discipline .   How can you meditate when you years of suppressed emotions is boiling inside you.  Firstly you will force yourself to sit and meditation never happens in forcefulness . Meditation is a relaxation of mind and body not a discipline or ritual to be followed .
