Many times, someone will question,”What do I tell myself?’
This largely depends on you and what you truly want to change.
Common changes people mention are:
•Lose weight
•Think smarter
•Get happy
•Anything really…
The issue with these commands is that they are too broad and general.
Make a statement truly specific by addressing yourself by name and then say/think the command. Make what you want to do believable and doable.
Examples:
Bill, lose five pounds in three weeks, slowly.
Shirley, focus and think clearly about your priorities, today.
Sam, feel happier about having a job and family, right now.
The more specific, believable and personal you are to yourself, the better the result.
Rule of thumb - What you tell yourself should ideally be no more than ten (10) words. Be as specific as possible. Our brains listen to specificity and simple commands. So unless you are used to complex commands, keep it simple.
And when constructing your personal command, make it something no one else knows about. Say nothing about it to anyone. This will amplify the effect on your brain and the positive impact of self-hypnosis.
