Mindful observation is an amazing technique that helps you to notice and appreciate those simple and easily ignored elements you find in your life and environment more profoundly. The aim of this mindfulness exercise is to help you connect with the beauty of your natural environment-things you have always missed as you run around hastily to meet your daily goals. The more you practice mindful observation, the more you become more mindful of things and the more you learn to take note of things in the moment.
How to practice mindful observation:
Choose any object of your choice in your natural environment and focus on it for 2-3 minutes. This object could be anything like a beautiful flower, an insect, a plant, the moon or clouds.
Make sure you do nothing other than noticing the object you are focusing on. Simply relax and watch the object for as long as you can concentrate on it.
Focus on this object and observe it like you have never seen it before.
Visually explore all aspects of the object's formation, allow yourself to be thoroughly consumed by its presence, beauty and nature.
Allow yourself to become connected with the energy of that object and all of its purpose in that natural environment.
