This is book two in a series and sold well on its initial release and I feel it would do well if it had an even wider audience by being translated in to more languages.

Sample text:

The steady rhythm of the coach rocking from side to side relaxes me, so I shut my eyes, not realizing I’ve dozed off until the carriage comes to an abrupt stop.

Looking outside, I notice we are on a side road with woods lining both its edges. The sound of a horse’s hooves echoes in the distance and gradually gets louder. A few minutes later, I hear a man instructing the driver to get down from his seat and walk away.

My heart beats faster, hoping this is all part of William’s game and not a real robbery. I jump when suddenly a man with a black scarf tied around his lower face peers in through the window at me. I look into his eyes, hoping I can identify him, but it’s impossible.

“Miss, good day to you.”

I nod to him, hoping he isn’t a real highwayman. He opens the door and climbs inside the carriage.

“That’s a beautiful necklace you’re wearing.”

I finger the pearls William has suggested I wear.

“I’d like you to remove the necklace and hand it over to me.”
