Ingredients:
1 pound bratwurst links, sliced thick
2 cups carrots, peeled and sliced
1 cup celery, sliced
1 cup red onion, diced
4 cups cabbage, sliced
2 cups chicken or vegetable stock
1 cup stewed tomatoes, with liquid
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
Set up and prepare your slow cooker.
Add the bratwurst along with the carrots, celery, red onion and cabbage.
Next add in the chicken or vegetable stock and the stewed tomatoes with the liquid.
Season with thyme, basil, salt and black pepper.
Cover and cook for 4 hours on HIGH, or 6 hours on LOW.
