Intermittent fasting is not a diet, it's a pattern of eating. It's a way of scheduling your meals so that you get the most out of them. Intermittent fasting doesn’t change what you eat, it changes when you eat. It’s a great way to get lean without going on a crazy diet or cutting your calories down to nothing. Intermittent Fasting is great for men and women. Weight loss, regulating blood sugar, care of your heart - this is just some of Intermittent Fasting benefits. Find out more reading my book.
Intermittent Fasting (IF) is a pattern of eating that alternates fasting and non-fasting. It’s the conscious decision to skip meals with the intention of teaching the body to use stored fats, instead of burning energy from food recently eaten. When a person eats, the body needs energy to digest and burn that meal. Thus, it uses the food just consumed and burns it. The idea behind IF is to trick the body to use the fats stored in the body.

There are a lot of benefits associated with the 5:2 diet. Did you know for example that our bodies are designed to go for periods without food? Back in the days of the caveman, food wasn’t readily available. Our ancestors couldn’t just pop to the supermarket and choose a good piece of pre-packed steak. Instead they had to go out, find food, kill it and then cook it. They could go days without eating anything.
So that’s how our bodies started off. Aren’t you glad you don’t have to do that now?
Some would argue that things are a lot different now and our bodies have evolved. While this is true to a certain degree, they are still designed with intermittent fasting in mind. That is why diets such as the 5:2 diet, work so well.
So what exactly are the benefits of following this diet?
