It was said that when a werewolf found his mate, it hit him like a ton of bricks. Nothing could come between them. All he could think about was her. She would be the center of the world he revolved around, and nothing would stop him from claiming her.
Justin never paid much mind to the legend until he ran into Marisa in the forest. Now every instinct inside of him is screaming to make her his forever. There's another man in Marisa's life though, and Justin will have to deal with him before he can claim his mate.
Genre: FICTION / Romance / ParanormalIt was said that when a werewolf found his mate, it hit him like a ton of bricks. Nothing could come between them. All he could think about was her. She would be the center of the world he revolved around, and nothing would stop him from claiming her.
Justin had heard the story a hundred times before from his pack elders. It was a tale they told young werewolves since before puberty, kind of like the birds and bees talk most normal parents have with their kids. The reason the story was told before puberty was because after puberty, the mating sickness was game to take over. Some werewolves found their mate when they were only thirteen. Most found their mate by adulthood. Very few didn't find that connection until later in life. And there was even a handful of werewolves who never found their mate, mostly from lack of searching.
The legend told there was only one person on the face of the planet that each werewolf was compatible with. Only one mate for them. Others speculated there were several people who could be potential mates. The first one you laid eyes on was the one who claimed your heart. All others after that went on unseen. That theory seemed to make more sense, since so many werewolves found mates locally.
If a werewolf hadn't found his mate by adulthood, he typically began traveling the world in search of her. After all, what greater purpose is there in life than to build a family with your soul mate. That was the normal way of thinking. Only lone wolves and those too attached to the pack didn't bother taking on the search. Some lone wolves even did whatever they could to avoid meeting females. After all, when you pair up with someone else, that means you're no longer alone.
