This book is written to help Christians discern between the voice of God amidst other voices. There are basically three major voices in the universe; the voice of man, the voice of the devil and the voice of God. The importance of recognizing God’s voice as a Christian, when we yearn to hear from Him cannot be overemphasized.
The question now is; is it possible for God to speak without you recognizing His voice? The answer is a resounding yes. God can actually speak and you won’t recognize His voice or hear Him speak.
We hear different voices within us, most of the times; our mind speaking, the devil speaking or God speaking. It is very important that we recognize God’s voice when He speaks so that we will not deviate from his plans for us. It was that "voice" that allows us to come through the darkest hours of our life. That is what this book is about. It is about going from hearing a barely discernible voice to hearing a clear voice. It is about going from “I think God is saying…” to “I know God is saying…”.because when you know what really happened and what is really available to you, you will find a renewed sense of faith, an insatiable new inspiration, and a new path to a deeper relationship with God. This book also reveals what causes us to vacillate in our hearing experience. You will come away from this book knowing how to hear God clearly and what it means when you don’t.
Introduction
The question that has always plagued most Christian’s heart, is the possibility of God speaking to them, without they recognizing His voice? God actually speaks to us on a daily basis and the probability of not recognizing it is God Speaking is high, except you are in tune with Him.
We hear different voices within and outside the body; voices from our mind, our environment, our friends, and the last communication we had. But in the midst of all these voices, we have the voice of God speaking directly to us.
How do you recognize the voice of God?
When you are born again, the voice of God is recognized by your spirit, God doesn’t speak to your mind, He speaks only to our spirit. So when you accept Christ as your Lord and savior, your spirit is now in tune with His spirit, then you can ask Him to speak to you. We will learn more as we progress in this teaching on how to recognize His voice without conflicting it with the voice of our mind and that of the devil.
It is important that we recognize God’s voice when He speaks to us as Christians so that we will not deviate from his plans for us. It is also important that we discern different voices speaking within us, so we don’t confuse the voice of the devil as God’s and obey it because we need to hear from God on a daily basis to help us forge ahead in our Christian Life. It is also imperative that we hear clearly from God before taking any step in life, whether it be going into ministry or taking vital life decisions. It should be a daily routine to fellowship with God.
