Unfortunately, when I was growing up, my father had with an angry disposition, and I was somewhat afraid of him. My older brother dealt with a little bit of sibling rivalry, and he used to hit me and pick on me. My mother told me that she couldn’t leave him alone in a room with me because he was so violent toward me.
I had a temperamental and sad start to life. At eight years of age, my cat died. I had mourned the cat for six months when a child evangelist came to my town. The evangelist said that we could have a friend named Jesus who would never leave us or forsake us. Since I really missed my cat that was my friend and I lost him, I accepted Jesus into my life. From that day on, I was saved, like the above verse says. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.”
Getting free of pornography or prostitution is done by faith and is a gift of God. You can’t do it by works; you can’t do it by striving. At eight years of age, I was saved. At fourteen years of age, I was molested on the beach by a homosexual/pedophile. I then began a life of having sexual encounters with men on a nudist beach.
