Introduction
With the release of season 5, Fortnite had a lot of obvious features that were added to the game. For example, Moisty Mires is gone and replaced with Paradise Palms, while Anarchy Hikers has been removed and replaced with Lazy Links.
Also, there's an introduction of the new shotgun recharge time, which makes it very hard to switch back and forth between weapons like the double pump, pump heavy, and pump TAC. This means, if you shoot a shotgun, you can't switch to another shotgun like you could before. There's now a loading timer before you can shoot the next one, which is pretty annoying.
Seriously, before this change, there were times I could quickly take out two enemies that weren't looking at me with a rapid switch of the double pump or double heavy.
But this new season has killed the combination of those.
Apart from that, there's also the introduction of Rifts, scattered across the map. These Rifts stand as a free jump pad to teleport you into the sky, leaving you hanging in the air while you decide where to land in the next part of the map. Our favorite hop rock has been replaced with golf carts to help you navigate the map and escape the storm. Also, the stadium in Fortnite has been taken away, and the playground mode, which was so much fun to play and practice build-fight, has been taken out of the game.
The real significant change a lot of people haven’t talked about that is causing a lot of confusion is the final circle at the end of the game.
