Slow Cooker Breakfast Casserole
Set this up late at night and wake up to a hearty breakfast.
Prep time: 10 minutes
Total time: 5 hours
Servings: 6 to 8
Ingredients:
1 12-oz package of pork sausage links, cooked, sliced
1 medium-sized head of broccoli, chopped
1 cup of shredded Cheddar, divided
3/4 cup of whipping cream
10 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 garlic cloves, minced
Directions:
1. Grease the interior of a large slow cooker generously.
2. Add half of the broccoli to the slow cooker, followed by half of the sausage and then half of the cheese. Repeat this layering with the remaining half of broccoli, sausage and the cheese.
3. In a large bowl, combine the whipping cream, eggs, salt, pepper and garlic. Whisk together until properly combined. Pour the mixture over layered ingredients.
4. Cook for 4 to 5 hours on low or 2 to 3 hours on high. It should be set at the center with the edges browned.
