Duet of silences

The JUNPA Duet series, which is a dialogue through poetry, has exceeded 200 books. Co-authored works with Asian poets have also been gradually increasing. The Indian poet Sukrita's poems, woven from deep contemplation, and Maki Starfield's words, which live in the modern age, will one day try to hear each other's silent words using the aural ear. In other words, the two have been given the experience of listening to each other's silence by God.

Silence of water

The water is disappearing

Behind us, still unaware of it

Animals and plants are crying all the time

Have you never heard such a voice?

Suddenly it becomes real

People are scrambling to get water

Those who couldn't drink the water,

Without knowing,

are about to dry up and die

When the water is silently disappearing

People just stare at the water and mourn

The ice melts

The sea melts

The tears melt

The water melts

The water of our lives

Runs silently through the fallen people

I cannot even catch it
