This was a new semester and I was well aware that my dreamgirl Lydia was re-enrolling in school. I wasn’t sure how the sleeping arrangements would work. After the Lyft driver who’d driven me from the airport to the campus, helped me get my duffle bag out of his hatchback, I slung it over my shoulder and hustled up the steps of the dormitory, took the stairs up one flight and walked down the hall to dorm room 214, which had been Lydia and my home during my freshman year and Diana and my home for the last semester. I was about to put my key in the lock when I noticed the door was ajar.
