Life is shorter than you think, which makes it more important than you can possibly imagine right now, that you make every second count......
This book is intended to highlight simple yet common mistakes that many of us make when we are just starting out in our careers or even deciding what it is we would like to study when we finish school.
Our focus is on the world outside of us but we should be looking within ourselves for what it is we want to be, do and have in life. The sooner we do this the sooner we can plot, and start to navigate our path on the life we want to live.

Introduction
As a teenager, I used to say that when I die I do not want to look back on my life and be disappointed at the things I did not do.
Yet, unless I changed my life, I would have done exactly that.
I knew there was something missing in my life but I was unable to define it. And because I was unable to define it, I had no idea how to find it, learn it and apply it so that I could live the life I wanted to.
The reason for my inablity to define what was lacking I attribute today, to my upbringing and education. When I say “attribute” I do not mean “blame”. I do not blame my parents, friends, teachers, anyone else because they did not have the knowledge I was seeking because their parents and teachers were not given the knowledge to pass on either. Neither did the generation before that and on into history.
Through my life experience, I eventually found what I was looking for but only after having spent decades searching in the wrong way, in the wrong places on a part time basis while life seemed to be a constant struggle to survive.
And the answers are simpler than we realise. Yet, I was never taught the answers during my school career or in my upbringing. The answers that I was seeking regarding life were always spoken about and ever present. It appeared that they had already been learned, grasped and applied to the extent and depth that they needed to be by everyone else, except me.
I have since come to understand that many of us do not know what it is that we are looking for. It is perhaps better said, that many of us do not know what we want in our life and if we do, we do not know how to go about getting it.
