Trip to Christmas
The swift train directs its march, the passengers still sleepy stretch to embrace the new day, the atmosphere is quiet but an aura of magic and emotion envelops it, all anxious waiting for the arrival to their destinations to embrace their loved ones.
Today is 24, Christmas Eve is approaching, the hours pass so quickly that I hardly notice the day. Absorbed in my thoughts, I feel that everything inside me needs to slow down, too many experiences in a short time that haven't even made me see Christmas is here. I am a stranger to myself who notices something has changed, she tries to find the girl that se was before but can't find her and that dislodges me.
I look through the window, the day is cloudy and the landscapes pass fleeting before my eyes, little by little I leave my problems behind and the worries and I try to think about Christmas, the children's illusion and family warmth. I feel that this is the first Christmas that I will live as an adult and it does not scare me, but I am saddened to know that I will not wake up with children screaming because of the arrival of Santa claus, or sing Christmas carols or laugh at the jokes. We all went through this but I hope to find again the magic of seeing the world as if i was a child and try to live Christmas as if it was a gift.
