This is based on physical awareness and being comfortable in every situation. Once opened, you feel well-balanced, stable, sensible, secure. You don’t just easily distrust people without enough reason. You feel connected to your physical body and feel the present moment.
Use your physical body to open your awareness. You can do Yoga, brisk walk around the block, or clean the whole house. Such activities will strengthen the chakra as you let your body aware of what you can do.
Ground yourself. Try connecting with the ground by running or walking on foot and feel it beneath you. To do this, stand up straight with body relaxed as you put your feet wide apart. Slightly bend your knees and move your pelvis forward a little. Try to keep your body balanced and let your weight be evenly distributed over the soles of your feet. Then sink your weight forward and stay in this position for a while.
After grounding, sit down with legs crossed and let the tip of your thumb and index finger touch gently in a slow, gentle motion.
Concentrate on the root chakra and at the spot in between the genitals and anus.
