My name is Sicily Chase. All I wanted was one last, fun filled girls's weekend in Vegas before summer break was over. I wanted to hang out by the pool, do some shopping, hit the clubs, meet a hot guy - you know let loose. Well, I did all that and then some but little did I know that my one night stand would turn into so much more not to mention introduce me into a supernatural world I never knew existed.
Genre: FICTION / Occult & SupernaturalThis was the book that introduced me to a whole new group of readers. It sat on the best sellers list for 12 weeks when it debuted and is still one of my biggest sellers.
I could hear muffled noises surrounding me. I didn’t care too much for the bed I was on because it kept vibrating beneath me and in all honesty it wasn’t very comfortable. I had a slight headache and just knew that if I opened my eyes things were going to hurt very badly. I went to turn over and the slight movement caused pain to explode from the back of my head. I reached for the back of my head and groaned.
“Sicily?”
I covered my ears with my hands trying to block out the noise but it did no good since someone was trying to gently pry my hands away. “Sicily? Baby wake up.”
I slowly opened my eyes to find myself staring up at Auzi and Denver. Both of their eyes were glowing brightly. I closed my eyes again and swallowed, “What’s going on?”
“We were hoping you could tell us,” Denver commented. “I just got here a few minutes ago and found you on the ground.”
I ran my hands along my supposed mattress and realized I was lying on the hardwood floors in the living room. That’s when I realized that the vibrations were actually from the guys walking around. I frowned, “What’s wrong. Why is everyone here?”
Auzi looked pained, “Sicily…”
The look on his face said more to me than any words ever could and so did the memory of Ripon standing in my door.
