Sample text:

Mutnofret, whose name meant “Mut is beautiful,” knelt, naked, in the courtyard. Her long, amply curved body folded gracefully, as she leaned over a large woven basket to sort beans. While her nimble fingers picked at their work, her olive skin glowed in the noonday sun. Besides her sensuous dotted tattoo, which ran belt-shaped around her lower hips, Mutnofret was indeed exposed. She felt no shame, though, as her Egyptian people thought of nakedness as a natural human condition. A warm summer breeze cascaded over her arms, but not a hair raised. Her body was shaved from head to toe, as was custom. Instead, like most people, she wore a wig. Hers was long, braided horsehair, tied at the ends with fragments of shell. It swished over her bare arms, as she bent to pick up her basket. Her nudity betrayed the poverty of her rank, more than anything. Although she had been a favored of the royal family in childhood, even thought of as a second King’s Daughter, those times had long passed. Now, Mutnofret was a slave.
