Make sure you’re getting enough sleep every night. Millions of people do not, and anxiety can also cause insomnia and sleep deprivation. It’s hard to function at all when you feel so tired you can barely stand, and that obviously leaves you vulnerable to increased anxiety. If you make a point of going to bed a little early and getting a full eight hours, you may find that some of your anxiety problems will start to improve. Even if your anxiety problems make it hard to fall asleep, you will get more hours of sleep by going to bed earlier and especially by establishing a consistent sleep routine.
